May 6, 2007 Hello out there! I've been getting some nice notes from readers lately about ULTRA VIOLET, and I can't tell you how awesome it feels to know the book is still out there finding people. I just wanted to thank you guys who are hanging in there hoping I'll have another book someday I'm hoping, too! I've put THE BAD GIRL on the back burner to simmer for a while and await a few needed rewrites, and I'm immersed in a new book (tentatively titled THE OPPOSITION) about a two crafty detective types who fall in love while trying to one-up each other. I promise I will post any news here as soon as I have it, and I'll notify those of you who have kindly signed up for my mailing list. Meanwhile, here are some other books you might be interested in.
October 12, 2006 Why, yes, it has been an age since I updated this page. Thanks for noticing! The main reason for that is that there isn't any real book-related news to report. If you haven't heard about it by now, I'm very sad to tell you that the excellent Bombshell line at Silhouette has been canceled, and the final books will be published in (I think) January. So my BAD GIRL manuscript is currently homeless, but I'm confident it will eventually see the light of day, somehow, some way. Meanwhile, I'm launching a brand new manuscript I won't say too much about right now. I recently took a buyout from my newspaper job, so I'm at my leisure for a while, which means I should have plenty of writing time. Here's hoping!
Meanwhile, I must report that a certain Golden Heart winner I mentioned down below on this page (waaay back in August of 2005) did indeed sell her award-winning manuscript! And now the book is out, and it's fabulous, and it's called The Inconvenient Duchess. Read more about it at Chris' web site. Yay, Chris!
April 23, 2006 It's been a busy couple of months. I'm just back from a
fantastic trip to Amsterdam. It was a wonderful week in a wonderful, romantic city that's great for walking and taking life easy. I came back completely relaxed and refreshed. And now I'm getting serious about moving forward with my new book. Details to come...
Feb. 6, 2006 How is it February already?? I've been so busy with the new book that I haven't posted here as much as I should. The big news is that THE BAD GIRL is almost really done! I hope to put the finish polish on it in the next couple of weeks and start getting ready for my next project.
Nov. 3, 2005 Check me out: I did an interview with TheRomanceReader.com. You can read it here. While you're there, stick around and read some of the very helpful and entertaining reviews.
Oct. 8, 2005 ULTRA VIOLET is out! And here's the evidence:

Yes, I did go to the bookstore and have my husband take a picture of me next to the bookshelves. Yes, I am a total dork. But I don't care because this is exciting! Kudos to the Waldenbooks at North East Mall in Hurst for having such a rockin' romance section and a great display of Bombshells!
Sept. 2, 2005 I'm still hard at work on THE BAD GIRL. I went to an early screening of the excellent movie Serenity this week (yes, I am a Joss Whedon fanatic), and it inspired me to deepen and sharpen TBG's plot, so I'm madly rethinking the ending. I think it's going to push the book to a whole new level. Wish me luck!
Aug. 5, 2005 Back from RWA National, and it was great! I'm especially happy that three writers I love won prestigious Rita awards: Jenny Crusie (Best Contemporary Single Title Romance), Evelyn Vaughn (Best Novel with Strong Romantic Elements), and Lani Diane Rich (Best First Book). Also, my fellow Cherries Chris Merrill (Best Short Historical Romance Manuscript) and Lorelle Marinello (Best Contemporary Single Title Romance Manuscript) won Golden Heart awards for unpublished (not for long, I bet) manuscripts. Woo!
July 24, 2005 News of the moment: My Web site is up!
Also upcoming: I'm heading to Reno on July 27 for the Romance Writers of America national conference. Couldn't be more excited.
More to come in this space, including an update on my current WIP (that's "work in progress" to those who hate acronyms), which I'm tentatively calling THE BAD GIRL.
